A Life of Leadership, Literacy, and Advocacy

 I am absolutely thrilled to publish January's Cup of Capacity interview. Jill Siler is a leader I not only admire, I now consider her a colleague and friend. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did! 

I have long admired Dr. Martha Salazar Zamora. She is currently the Superintendent of Tomball ISD, a growing and vibrant school district, about 30 minutes north of Houston. I first met Dr. Zamora as a member of the Texas Council of Women School Executives. I got to know Dr. Zamora in a deeper way through this interview which led me to admire her all the more. November is for giving thanks! October is the month of every birthday in my immediate family plus wedding anniversary so while I LOVE October, I am also pleased to close that yearly chapter and move into a month focused on gratitude. When I list all of my many blessings, Judy is definitely on the list. I have felt her influence my entire teaching career and I have known her for almost 20 years.
